1 Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information on our servers.

• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or log in to use ChinaSetGo.
• Local Preference Storage Only: To provide you with personalized suggestions, the App allows you to select certain personalization options. These choices are saved securely and exclusively on your local device. We do not collect, transmit, or back up these preferences to our own servers.
• No Location Tracking: The App does not request or access your device's GPS location.
• No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party tracking tools (such as cookies, advertising IDs, or custom crash reporting software) to monitor your behavior within the App.

2 How the App Works & Third-Party Services

To provide personalized recommendations and guides for your travel, ChinaSetGo utilizes the personalization choices you configure within the App.

When the App generates a recommendation, your locally stored preferences are transmitted directly from your device to the following third-party service providers via their Application Programming Interfaces (APIs):

• Google Gemini API: Used to fetch Google-based suggestions.
• Baidu ERNIE API: Used to fetch Baidu-based suggestions.

Important Note on Third-Party Data Handling:

We do not intercept, route, or store this communication on our own servers. However, once your preferences are sent to Google or Baidu to generate a response, that data is subject to their respective Privacy Policies. We encourage you to review them:

Additionally, the app stores where you downloaded ChinaSetGo (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) may collect default, anonymized usage and crash data as part of their standard operating procedures.

3 Data Storage and Retention

Because your personalization choices are stored only on your device, you have full control over this data. You can delete or change these preferences at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or uninstalling the App. We do not retain any of your data on our systems.

4 Advertising and Monetization

ChinaSetGo is currently entirely free to use. We do not display third-party advertisements (such as Google AdMob), and we do not sell any user data to advertisers.

5 Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA, PIPL)

Depending on where you reside or travel, you may be protected by privacy frameworks such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL).

These laws grant users the right to access, delete, or restrict the processing of their personal data. Because ChinaSetGo only stores your preference data locally on your device and does not collect or process your personal data on external servers, there is no remote data for us to access, amend, or delete on your behalf. You may exercise your right to delete your data simply by uninstalling the App.

6 Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age depending on your jurisdiction). If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can take immediate action.

7 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For example, if we introduce new features in the future — such as optional location-based services or account creation — we will update this policy to reflect those changes and request your consent where required by law. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
